We’re always excited to discover new putter companies here at PutterZone.com, and the latest to come across our desk is Areso Golf based in Germany.
Areso’s managing director Rock Wu is an avid golfer with a background in sports training and engineering, and he was most recently a sales engineer at a golf equipment company, where he product managed the production of metal woods for Titleist.
“While studying my PhD in biomechanics, I researched the putting stroke and discovered that putting is one of the most complicated actions in the game of golf,” he says. “We started our concept based on the combination of human interaction plus fitting rather just the mechanical property of the materials.”
Areso appears to offer a wide range of putters, including the limited-edition Shen Long line of putters pictured here. The Areso Classic and Elite lines feature several additional models, with each model available in different lengths, lofts and lie angles to fit the golfer. The putters are forged and milled from 1025 carbon steel. According to Wu, the company also maintains a strategic alliance with Science and Motion Sports’ Puttlab fitting system.
