Tour professionals make sure that their putters are properly fitted. Now you can, too.
Putter Perfection is the first guide to walk you through the modern essentials of putter fitting, offering clear and concise tips so that you can find a better fit for better results on the green.
Why are PGA Tour professionals fanatical about putter fitting? Because they know that a proper fit is essential to maximizing your putting potential.Yet most golfers still just grab a so-called “standard” putter right off the retail rack with little regard to how it fits, creating a recipe for trouble on the green.Bad habits may be hard to break, but the truth is that there’s no longer any excuse for failing to seek a better fit. After all, personal putter fitting options are rapidly multiplying at the point of purchase, and nearly all of the clubs offered by the top putter brands are available in different configurations that you can fit to your physique and your stroke.
In other words, it’s time for you to take action and seek a better fit, and it’s much easier than you might think. You just need to know what to look for.
Enter Putter Perfection by PutterZone.com editor Sean Weir. Putter Perfection is the first guide to give you the full scoop on putter fitting essentials—and how you can apply them yourself to achieve a better fit for better results.

When you consider that the "average" golfer putts 2-3 times each hole getting the right fitted putter is as important as what wedge or driver you have in your bag. I have an older "Slotline" putter I've been using for years because it has a perfect balance and fit for my style (fitted with an oversize Winn grip). The only modification I'd like to get on the putter would to have the smooth face precision milled. If anyone knows where that can be done please refer me to that golfsmith shop. Cheers!
Well said! Indeed, the putter accounts for approximately 40 percent of the strokes in an average round, making it the most important club in the bag. There's no reason not to seek a better fit for better results.
This is the part of the game which people should be spending more time on. People go out and anticipate results when they haven't practiced it just doesn't work. If I can't get up my local course I will practice my putting indoors at home. You can be creative just as much at home there is no excuse not to practice.
I have the Taylormade Imola 8 Rossa Putter. I noticed you hadn't reviewed it yet. I suggest you do.
Hi, Tony, thanks for your note and feedback. You're right, there's not a lot about counterweighting in the book. There are some mentions in the Weight chapter, referencing the Heavy Putter, and mentioning that adding a large, heavy grip will change the swingweight of a putter.
As you know, putter fitting is like peeling an onion, there's just layer after layer.
With Putter Perfection, I tried to find that balance of providing considerable information but not too much information.
I didn't peel the whole onion, but hopefully peeled it enough to help put the average golfer on a firm path toward finding the right fit!
Hi, iKristof, that's something I need to work on, just getting it produced for print and Kindle was a job, and that's next on my list. Thanks for your interest and patience!

Hello. I am a professional club fitter, you book is excellent.
One thing you did not talk about in the book (at least I did not find it) is Putter Counterweighting. Any comment?
