The rumors are true—the TaylorMade Itsy Bitsy Spider putter not only exists, it will be crawling all over your television screen this week.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider is the diminutive offspring of the original TaylorMade Spider (pictured here), which was released earlier this year, and which has demonstrated a lethal ability to sink putts and win professional tournaments.
Evidence of the Itsy Bitsy Spider putter surfaced a few weeks ago after Justin Rose let the cat—err, spider—out of the bag during an interview at the Travelers Championship, saying: “I just changed my putter to a new Spider putter, the Taylor Made, the Itsy-Bitsy Spider, which is a pretty cool name. I needed a fresh look on the greens this week, and so far so good.”
Rumors of this little creature have since abounded, but details have remained vague—until now.
PutterZone.com has confirmed that the Itsy Bitsy Spider will make its formal PGA Tour debut at this week’s AT&T National. Stay tuned at PutterZone.com for more details on the TaylorMade Itsy Bitsy Spider.
In an earlier review of the original TaylorMade Spider, PutterZone.com remarked on the putter’s girth, saying it could have easily been named the Tarantula. Like a black widow, however, the Itsy Bitsy Spider is set to prove that lethal performance comes in small packages, too.
Justin only kept it in the bag for a round or two
