After a brief hiatus, Yes! Golf is back under new ownership at Adams Golf and charging into 2012 with a new line of putters: The Yes! 12 Series.
Today, as part of our continuing preview coverage of the upcoming PGA Merchandise Show, we turn the spotlight on one of the leading models of the Yes! 12 Series: The Sandy 12 face-balanced mallet.
Happily, Yes! Golf is sticking with the proprietary concentric C-Grooves upon which the brand was built. These grooves are positioned at a 20-degree upward slant to lift the ball out of its resting position and impart topspin for enhanced accuracy and consistency.
The new twist, however, is the inclusion of a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) insert that is now placed behind the C-Groove face, as revealed in the white line in the above photo. This insert is designed to reduce vibration for enhanced feel.
Yes! putters now also come in a white-over-black finish, reminiscent of the TaylorMade Ghost putters. The Sandy 12 features a “True Square” alignment system with three black sightlines framing the ball and a perpendicular black line along the topline. We have to say, the top view sure looks intriguing!
The cost of the Yes! Sandy 12 putter is $199 (satin) and $209 (white). It will be released to the retail market on March 15. Stay tuned for PutterZone.com’s Yes! Sandy 12 putter review.
